Jody has been a beekeeper and an advocate for the bees for about 9 years, volunteering in numerous community outreach and education opportunities. She started Uptown Girls Honey, LLC in 2016 creating handmade products as a way to utilize the products from the beehive-honey, pollen, propolis, and beeswax. In 2018, Uptown Girls Honey, LLC moved to Dandelion Springs Apiary in Chesterfield. This expansion allowed for a teaching apiary, which aligns with Jody’s love of learning and teaching others of all ages how to help the bees by becoming better stewards of our precious Earth.
