Jacob Currence

Creative Collaborator

Jacob Currence is a Costume and Puppet designer. He has his Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts from Davis & Elkins College. He is currently finishing up his Masters of Fine Arts of Costume design and Technology at West Virginia University. While at West Virginia University, Jacob has been managing the Puppet Mobile, introducing the art of puppetry to audiences of elementary schools across the state of West Virginia. Before his tenure at West Virginia University, Jacob designed puppets and costumes for the Old Brick Playhouse, designing costumes and puppets for "The Lion King Jr. and Shrek: The Musical." As an advocate for the art of puppetry, Jacob has also taught several lectures in construction and manipulation spreading the joys of puppetry wherever he goes.
