FreeHorse Arts customizes inclusive and integrative arts education, nature-based programming, and equine experiential learning for people with diverse abilities.
The horses at FreeHorse Arts and Unbridled model the principles of our programming which include Alignment, Balance, Exploration & Play, Honesty & Congruency, Individual Responsibility & Accountability, Presence, Safety, Respect and Shared Leadership. As a herd we cultivate conscious community, understanding beyond self, and a present connection to the natural world.
Through dynamic and inspiring courses led by teaching artists & creative collaborators, participants can engage in any of our four expansive online and in-person programs, which allow them to engage in experiential practice, develop executive function skills leading toward prospective career pathways, and create original content throughout the production process—from concept to stage. Subjects have ranged from songwriting, storytelling, recording and engineering, set and garden design, dance and choreography, puppetry, event production, podcasting, animation and videography, to creating healthy ecosystems, herd integration, and the art of listening. Our classes and community choir includes families & caregivers. Over the last seven years, nearly 5,000 humans and horses have been impacted through our InterConnected, LIVE, Healthy Herd, Horse Sense and Songwriters Series programs.
