Heather Flournoy

Creative Collaborator

Heather grew up first on a ranch in rural northern California and then on a farm in upstate NY. Both of her grandmothers had gardens, animals, and were immersed in nature. As a youngster she learned to harvest milkweed leaves, elderberries, wild onions, red clover, wild strawberries and mesquite bark and make foods and remedies out of them.  Her whole life she has aspired to better listen for the subtle messages of nature. Her knowledge expanded as the years went on and now she shares her enthusiasm and knowledge for wild foraged foods and medicines with those around her. She teaches mainly in upstate NY but loves getting to know the wild flora wherever she is. Connect on Instagram @wildnearby
