Co-founder & Lead Creative Collaborator for FreeHorse Arts LIVE

As the creator of the LIVE ART program at SPARC, Erin successfully pioneered a new and life changing series of classes and performances for hundreds of equal numbers of students with and without disabilities, created new team teaching curriculum for artists and special educators and artistically directed musicians such as Jason Mraz, Paul Williams, kd Lang, Sara Bareilles, Josh Groban, Michael McDonald, Chris Caswell, Colbie Callait, Keb’ Mo’, Christina Perri, Ben Lee, Chris Stills and more. LIVE ART received the Theresa Pollak Prize for Arts Innovation in 2016, and was named one of the eight most exemplary arts programs/events of the last 50 years by the Virginia Commission for the Arts in 2018.

Erin’s work has been utilized around the world, in partnership with Special Olympics International and featured on The TODAY Show. Erin is a Co-Producer of the Emmy Award winning Documentary Film: From The Wings, has been recognized by Richmond Times Dispatch as 2016 Person of the Year, by Belle Magazine as one of Richmond’s top six Women in the Arts for 2012, the YWCA Outstanding Woman Award recipient in the Arts for 2013, one of the 2013 Virginia Lawyers Media’s Influential Women of the Year for the State of Virginia, and by Style Weekly as one of Richmond’s Top Forty Under Forty in 2014. Erin has a BA in Theatre from Longwood College and an MFA in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University. Erin resides with her two children in Richmond, VA.
